parremove Command Example The procedure to remove a Partition: 1. Determine which Partition to remove and its Partition number. Only inactive Partitions or the local Partition can be removed. Use the parstatus -P command to list all Partitions -- or -- Issue the parstatus -p# command to list details about the Partition you want to remove. 2. Issue the parremove command to remove the Partition. If removing the local Partition, specify the -F option. You must immediately “reboot for reconfiguration” the local Partition, if it is being removed. This allows all the Partition’s cells to be made available. 3. Confirm that the Partition has been removed. Use the parstatus -P command to list all existing Partitions. The Partition you removed should no longer be listed. For complete details see the parremove(1M) manpage. Example 1 In this example, the local Partition is force-removed # parremove -F -p0 Use shutdown -R to shutdown the partition.
