Linguistic sexism in English and Chinese language mainly reflected in proverbs, expressions, vocabulary and the meanings of words. In chapter 1, the general information of linguistic sexism will be given in two aspects—the definition and the cause. Chapter 2 mainly talks about linguistic sexism in vocabulary in both Chinese and English and the comparison between them. Chapter 3 is about linguistic sexism in literature works, one from China and one from the English speaking country. Nowadays, a majority of the studies on linguistic sexism are about one typical aspect of the language, such as the appellation, the typical vocabulary and the idioms in both English and Chinese (Xue qiong, 2009). Other researches have focused on the linguistic sexism in literature works (Liu Dihui, 2009) . Few studies have analyzed the influence linguistic sexism had on the society and history (Lakoff R , 1973) .
