九年级下英语教案 (2007年春) 戴景秀才 Unit2 Saving the Earth Topic 1 I can’t stand the environment here Section B Teaching aims and demands: 1.Review the present perfect tense with since and learn the present perfect tense with for . 2.Go on learn how to express complaint. 3.Realize the harm of water pollution and make the students aware of the importance of protecting the water resources. Step one Review Guessing games .Review the words about pollution .The teacher explains them simple words .Then asks the students to guess which kind of pollution they are . Step two Presentation The teacher teach the new words with guessing games or smple drawings: several ,secretary ,relation ,fsherman,president ,ead,rabbit. Let the students think and discuss : What will happen if there is no water ? First ,the students express their ideas, then the teacher summarizes the importance of water . The teacher should makes the students understand with written materials or numbers: Water shortage is a serious problem in the world . The teacher shows some pictures of water pollution to let them know the crisis of water shortage .The teacher ‘s comment goes like this, “On one hand , we are in short of water ; on the other hand , we are making the situation worse and worse . Water pollution has influenced our daily life .” Listen to 1a and answer the questions: What are they going to do ? Why do they choose the West Hill? Is it still a beautiful place now ? What do they want to do then,? The teacher check the answers. Step three Consolidation Read 1a and underline the new words and the sentences which express complaint. Teach the new word : several Read 1a again .Finish 1b . Step four Practice Listen to 2 .Write down the letters that go with the pictures. Check the answers and finish 2. Look at the example given in 3. Compare them and understand the difference in the way of expressing . Ask the students to finish the sentences in 3 according to the example ‘ The teacher
