Reading comprehension. Read the text paragraph by paragraph to get a review.
By answering the questions:
Where did Vanessa go for a special holiday?
Who went with her?
When did she go?
What did she do there?
Read para1, and discuss “Why did Vanessa think it was a very special holiday?”
Read para2, and answer the questions:
What was Vanessa’s dream?
How did they go to Canada?
What did they see when they were on the bus?
Read para 3 and answer the questions.
Put the sentences into a correct order.
Read the last paragraph, and then judge T or F. 1. Guide students to answer the questions.
2. Help ss know Vanessa’s first day to understand the text better by reading it para by para. 1. Train Ss’ ability of reading in a limited time.
