Manyauthorshavemadethestudiesonthefieldsoffishinggroundanditsenvironment conditions.However,thesquidcatchperfishingvesselattainedthehighestlevelofabout550t in2004.Inthispaper,thecatchanditsdistributionin2004wouldbecomparedwiththe previousyear.BasedonthecatchdatafromChinesesquidjiggingvesselsandseasurface temperaturewiththeformatofl.latitudebyl.longitudefromMaytoNovemberin2004.the distributionmapsweredrawnbyMarineexplorer4.0.Theresultsshowthattheproductionin theeastwatersto160.EwaslowduringMayandJuly.DuringOctoberandNovember,the productioninthewatersfrom150.Eto160.Ewasrelativelyhigher,whichoccupied62.5 percentofthetotalcatch.DuringNovember,theproductioninthewestwatersto150.Ewas alsolow.ThehighestCPUEaFealocatedinthewestwatersto150.E.thenextwasthearea from150.Eto160.Eandthe1owestCPUEarealocatedintheeastwaterstol60.E.TheSSTirl thefishinggroundseemstochangeseasonally.ThesuitableSSTforeachmonthisasfollows: l2一l4℃inMay,15℃一16℃inJune,14℃一16℃inJuly.18℃一19℃inAugust,16℃ 一 17℃inSeptember,l5℃一16℃inOctoberand12℃一13℃inNovember.TheresultofK—S testshowsthattheabovemonthlysuitableSSTisconsideredastheindicatoroflookingforthe mainfishingground.
