Abstract :In the maritime container transport logistics, the stowage planning is an important part of logistic trans-
portation, which is relevant to the transportation safety, efficientibility and lowcost of the companies. There are two
decisive factors in the stowage planning :the vessel ’s stability and the number of the rehandings. For the liner ves-
sels docking multi-port, these two factors are often contradictory. The stowage planning of the liner vessel calling in
some ports on the entire route is addressed. The math model is proposed by the 0-1 programming method, which re-
gards the stability of the vessel as a constraint and makes minimizing the number of rehandings in all calling ports
of the vessel on the whole route as the objective. An improved genetic algorithm is designed to solve the problem.
The results of calculating some simulated data cases show that the method proposed in this paper can get better stow-
age planning than the stochastic stowage planning and that according to objective ports, which are usually used by
many container vessels, in transportation safety and economical efficiency.
