Module 9 to加动词原形叫做这个动词的不定式，简称为“to do”。 其否定形式是not to do sth. 不定式在句中不能作谓语。不定式的语法功能： 1. 作主语。常用在it is … to do sth.句型。 It isn’t right to kill whales for their meat. 2. 作宾语。常跟在want, need, like, try等后。 We need to protect animals. 3. 作宾语补足语(简称宾补)，用来补充说明宾语的动作。常用在ask/tell/want sb. to do sth. 句型。 She told me to buy a ticket. 4. 作表语。跟在系动词后。 My wish is to travel around the world. 5. 作目的状语。（用来说明谓语动词的目的） He got up early to catch the first bus. 作原因状语。(在be …to do sth.句型中) I’m happy to see you. 6. 作定语。放在所修饰的名词或代词后面。 Give me something to eat. I have a lot of clothes to wash. 词组 1．in danger 处于险境 in peace 处于安宁的环境里 animals in danger 处于险境的动物（濒危动物） 2. without doing sth. 表示一个伴随的动作：“没有做某事” 。如： Camels can walk a long way without drinking. 3. Sb.be … to do sth. 某人做某事感到… 如：I’m sorry to hear that. The boy was excited to see the pandas. be excited to do sth. 很兴奋去做某事 excited, interested, surprised都是用来形容（人）对…兴奋的，感兴趣的，惊讶的。 exciting, interesting, surprising用来形容（某物）令人兴奋的，感兴趣的，惊讶的。 at last = in the end = finally 最后，终于 5. need to do sth. 需要做某事 否定句和一般疑问句要加助动词do。如： You don’t need to finish it now. Do I need to take it home? 6. 介词for可以表示目的: “为了…” People kill whales for their meat. 7. grow 作系动词时表示“变得..”。后面跟形容词。如： Our villages and farms are growing bigger. 8．take away 带走，拿走 9. decide to do sth. 决定去做某事 decide not to do sth. 决定不去做某事 10．find out 了解，查出（事情真相等抽象的东西） find 找到（某物） We haven’t found out what was wrong. 我们还没有查出什么东西出毛病了。 Have you found your bike? 你找到你的单车了吗？ 11. too …to do sth. 太…而不能… The water is too hot to drink.
