Development of Conservation for Historic Site in
Taiwan and Local Consciousness
ABSTRACT
Based on the change of relevant law and policy, this
paper makes study on the relation between conservation
history and current state for historic site and the local
consciousness in Taiwan society. From angle of public
sectors, social groups and common people, and by
several cases from Taibei old city Wanhua area, it makes
account of diversii ed appearances revealed from oicial
strategy of cultural improvement, public topics in society
and residents’ site memory.
