A: Basic aims: 1. Listening: Locate specific information in response to simple instructions or questions.
2. Speaking: Maintain an interaction by providing information in response to factual or ‘Yes/No’ questions.
3. Reading: Predict the meaning of unfamiliar words by using context or picture cues. Locate specific information in a short text in response to questions. Identify main ideas from a text with teacher support.
4. Writing: Develop written texts by adding personal ideas and information when a model or framework is provided.
