The42patientswithportal hypertensioncanalsobedividedinto2groupsbasedonwhether theyhaveinferior venousshunt.ResultsExcellent imagequalityof LGVwasobtainedinall patientsof livercirrhosisandhealthyvolunteers. Thediametersof LGV, PVandSVinallpatientsaresignificantlywidened. Therewasstatisticallysignificant difference of LGV, PV and SV between patients andvolunteers (P = 0.00).Amongthetotal 72cases, therewere33casesthat LGVinfusingintoportalveintrunk,29casesthatLGVinfusingintosplenicvein,10casesthatLGVinfusingintothejunctionbetweenportalveintrunkandsplenicvein.Therewasnostatisti callysignifi cantdifferencebetweenpatientsandvolunteers(P=0.795).TherewasnostatisticallysignificantdifferencebetweenChild-Pughclassification and the correlation of PV and SV. There wasstatistically significant difference between Child-Pughclassification and LGV (P = 0.795). It is clear that Child-Pughclassification is closely related with change of LGV
