But it is impossible to do this all by people themselves, which needs the help of the computer. Topic tracking (TT) is generated in this context. Adaptive topic tracking (ATT) is a self-learning mechanism based on topic tracking, which makes tracking system update topic model according to the development of the topic, and effectively track the trend of topic reports. The foreign research about ATT started long time ago, and there are many domestic researches. But there is little research on the perspective of knowledge. So this thesis introduces ontology which is a semantic technology for knowledge representation of the network environment, discusses ontology construction and evolution of Chinese topic and applies to ATT.
