Research on Collocation of Green Landscape Plant in the Second Ring Road in HohhotAbstractBased on the status of landscape use of plants in the second ring road in Hohhot, this paper researches some representatives of these roads from east, west, north and south. It uses field measurement, investigation, measurement and statistics of style and roadwdith of road sections, street trees inside boundary lines of roads, dividing strip, species, amount, growth status and collocation method of the roadside trees in green area.According to “Code for planting planning and design of urban roads” and landscape plants of urban roads collocation theory, it sum up status and characteristic of green plants collocation in the second ring road: (1) sidewalk green area use the style of Chinese Scholar tree twin row stroll planting generally. (2) Central and both sides of dividing green strip mainly use the style of one bush one herb. It creats rich layers and form various landscape effect. (3) Vertical structure of dividing green strip is reasonable. These strips mainly use multilayer structure. (4) It makes little use of both sides of green areas and is short of humanization design. (5) Plant selection reflects species of urban trees and usage of characteristic. (6) Collocation structure of plants reflect linearity bueaty of landscape and can meet the needs of zoology. (7) Plant landscape design pay attention to change of structures and layers and follow the principle of unification, harmony, equilibrium, rhythm.(8) Spicies of plant is little and short of variousness and urban characteristic. Road green landscape is flat. (9) Seasonal landscape is not rich and short of color leaf tree seed. (10) Species of trees do not arrange properly and result in inharmonious effection of landscape.Based on research and analysis, effect for collocation pattern for green plants in east and south second ring is better than those in west and north second ring roads.
