AbstractWiththerapiddevelopmentofimageprocessingtechnology,visualinspectiontechnologyasoneoftodayshottesttechnicalareashasbeenappliedtotheaerospace,industrial,transportation,home,communicationsandotherfields.Ithasthemeritofnon-contactandnon-offensivewhichareunabletocomparebyothertechnologies.Sincemostofthecurrentimagedetectiontechnologydevelopedonthepcplatformhasthedisadvantagesofbulkinessandpoorportability,Itisnotsuitableonsomespecialoccasions.Theembeddedsystemswiththeadvantagesofsmallsize,lowpowerconsumptionandlowcostisjusttomakeupforthedisadvantagesofPCplatform,Therefore,designanimagedetectingsystembasedonembeddedsystemhasgreatpracticalvalueandbroaderdevelopmentprospects.Thepaperdesignedafacedetectionsystembasedonembeddedsystem,andrealizedtheimaging,processing,examination,resultdemonstrationandotherfunctions.SincethepresentfaceimageinspectingtechnologyusestheAdaboostalgorithmgenerally,ThepaperfirstintroducedtheHaarcharacteristics,theintegralimage,sorteraswellasthecascadesorterAdaboostalgorithmindetail,thenusingacombinationFPGA+ARMasthehardwareplatformofsystemwhichsignificantlyimprovedtheprocessingspeedofthesystem,andcompatibility,meanwhile,carriedontheoptimizedprocessingofImageacquisition.Throughtheping-pongoperationtothebufferofimage,theimageacquisitionefficiencyandthetimelinessofimageprocessingwasgreatlyimproved.BytransplantstheembeddedLinuxoperationtraditionwhichhasthemeritsofopensource,smallsizeandscalabletotheARMembeddedsystem,Strengthenedtheprocessingcomplexsituationabilityofsystem.Generally,thedesignofimageprocessingsoftwarewasdifficult,Highcosts,heavyandlongdevelopmentcycles.ButwiththeemergenceofOpenCV,hasmadethesignificantcontributionfortheimageryprocessingtechnologywidespreadapplication.TheOpenCVasanopensourcecomputervisionlibrarydevelopedbyenthusiasts,Containsmanyimageprocessingandcomputervisionalgorithms,effectivelyimprovedthedevelopefficiency,ThisarticledetailedelaboratedtransplantprocessofOpenCVinARM,anddesignedOpenCVbasedfacedetectionprocedures.Fin
