AbstractAsthehigh-speeddevelopmentofthebackbonenetworks,accessnetworkshavebecomethespeedbottleneckofinformationnetworksystems.GPON(Gigabit-CapablePON),whichhasmanyadvatangeslikehighbandwidth,highefficiency,largecoverage,andrichuserinterfaces,becomeoneofthemainFTTHaccessnetworks.Atpresent,GPONonlysupportsAES(advancedencryptionstandard)encryptionalgorithm.AESalgorithmisusedtoreplaceDESthatNISTreleasedasanencryptionstandard.Afteryearsofanalysisandtest,AEScanresistvariousattackswithknownmethods.Thispaperusesadvancedencryptionstandard(AES)asthecoreencryptionalgorithm,whichisimplementedbyFPGAhardwareasadataencryptionmodule.ThismodulecanbeusedtotransmitdatasafelyinGPONwiththecharacteristicsofhighflexibility,processingparallelism,bigthroughputandscalability.Atfirst,AccordingtotherequirementofAESdataencryption,selectthetypeofFPGAchip,drawaschematicdiagram,itscorrespongdingPCB,andbuildsitshardwareplatform.Next,hardwaredescriptionlanguageVerilogHDLisconbinedwithprinciplediagramdesigntowriteFPGAprogramanddebugit.ProgramdesignisimplementedbyfollowingthestandardofAESencryptionalgorithm.Atradeoffbetweenchipareaanditsperformanceneedstobedecided.Intheblockdiagramdesign,logicoperationstepsaresegmentedindetailswithpipelinetoimprovetheefficiencyofthehardware.Finally,eachmoduleoftheFPGAprogramissimulated,andthesimulationresultscomplywiththerequirements.Inthispaper,theFPGArealizationoftheAESalgorithmispresentedwithareferencedesignscheme.First,thehardwareplatform,developmentlanguage,hardwaredevelopmenttools,andsoftwaredevelopmenttoolsforFPGArealizationofAESalgorithm,areintroduced.Second,theoveralldesignblockdiagramofGPON-AESmoduleimplementationschemearegivenindetails,andthenthefunctionofeachcomponentanddesign.Finally,timingsimulation,thedesignresultsandperformanceofGPON-AESmodulearepresented.Keywords:AES,FPGA,encryption,decryption,hardwareimplementation目录专用术语注释表.................................................................................................................................
