DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF METADATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BASED ON CWM IN E-GOVERNMENTAbstractWith the need of development of infomationization and E-government, IT has greatly popularized especially in database technology. E-government faces many problems, such as management of mass data, integration of Heterogeneous data source and support of leadership department. Now, management systemn of government information resource is comparatively independent. Different information systems do their own job, which leads to low effectiveness functioning of share and call of valuable data. Government doesn’t have a unified information resource management system. We call it “Information Isolated Island”. Therefore, metadata management system appears.With the help of J2EE structure and three-layer framework, This topic is using metadata auto-extraction technology and improved metadata editor combining data mart and data exchange platform. Then it achieves the metadata management system based on CWM in E-government.We have four parts in this thesis: they are data mart categorization anddata subject analysis, data page auto-extraction technology and database extraction, data exchange platform and metadata management system. There are two characteristics in this thesis shown as follows: on the one hand, design and implement of metadata auto-extraction technology on website and server, and extract Pudong New Area bureaus’ application data. On the other hand, design and improve the metadata editor, achieve metadata management under the guide of E-government metadata model.Compared to existed metadata management system, this thesis is focus not only on close connections between metadata management system and E-Government but also on effective combinations of metadata auto-extraction, metadata editor and data exchange platform.
