StudyonEffectiveFormsofFarmers’SupervisioninNewRuralCooperativeMedicalSystemAbstractObjectives:AnalysisofthecontentsandmeansforfarmerstosupervisetheNewRuralCooperativeMedicalSystem(New-CMS);andsummaryofthecurrentmainformsoffarmerssupervisioninNew-CMS.ThispaperaimsatexploringthemechanismandpracticeforsuchasupervisionandenablethemtoplayanactiveroleinNew-CMS.Methods:YuexiCounty,JixiCounty,NanlingCountyandNingguoCityinAnhuiProvincewereearmarkedastypicalinvestigationsite.Bymeansofquestionnaires,semi-structuredandin-depthinterview,andfocusgroupdiscussions,Partyandgovernmentleaders,officialsofinstitutionsengaged,villagesupervisors,leadersofmedicalinstitutions,andfarmers’representativeswereinvestigatedwithquestionnairesandinterviews.925validquestionnaireswereretrievedfordataanalysiswithSPSS11.0statisticalsoftware.Results:Somecitieshaveestablishedaninformationdisclosuresystemandvillagesupervisorsystem,whichprovetobeeffectivetosomeextent.RespondentsatalllevelsholdthatthefarmersdeserveknowledgeoftheNew-CMScompensationpackage,compensationreimbursementsandmedicalchargesofdesignatedmedicalinstitutionsamongotherinformation.Informationdisclosureaimsatsafeguardingfarmers’rightforinformationandsupervision,andtheappropriatewaysarepublicannouncementbillboardsandTV.InadditiontotheNew-CMSpolicy,publicannouncementatcountyleveldisclosesthefundsusage,thatattownshiplevelisservicesofferedatdesignatedmedicalinstitutions,thatatvillagelevelisinformationonfeesreimbursementofbeneficiarypopulation,whilethatforthedesignatedmedicalinstitutionaretheprimarydrugsusage,diagnosis/therapycatalogueandpricing.Hotlinesforcomplainarethemosteffectivechanneloffeedback.FeedbackreceiversaremainlyhigherNew-CMScenters,New-CMScommitteesandsupervisioncommittees.Villagesupervisorspreferablyelectedamongvillagers.Theirmainassignmentsaretocollectandfeedbackpublicopinionandvillage-levelannouncementofNew-CMSinformation,inadditiontocollectingandreportingopinionpollsandattendvillagesupervisorsroutinemeetings.Conclusions:Itisn
