Big golde?n lake origi?nal 120-seat excru?ise vesse?l capac?ity canno?t satis?fy the needs? of incre?asing? passe?nger, in order? to impro?ve the capac?ity, it is neces?sary to desig?n a new ship. In this paper?, main conte?nt in preli?minar?y desig?n proce?ss inclu?de the argum?ent of princ?ipal dimen?sions?, the gener?al layou?t desig?n, line desig?n, stati?c hydra?ulic calcu?latio?n and cross? secti?on struc?tural? desig?n. This desig?n accor?ding to the requi?remen?t of the speci?ficat?ion, has selec?ted a mothe?r ship as the found?ation?, deter?mined? the feasi?ble schem?e of the new vesse?l preli?minar?y, and check?ed the new ship main perfo?rmanc?e.
