AbstractProactiveCopingisgoal-managementaimingtoachievepersonaldevelopmentandaccumulateresourcesforchallenges.Studiesonproactivecopingaremainlyaboutaging,stressmanagement,crisismanagement.Fewstudieshaveresearchedthedecisionmakingprocess,especiallytheriskydecisionmakingofdifferentproactivecopingpeople.Fromsubjectiveexpectedutilitytheorytoriskasfeelingstheory,ideasonriskydecisionmakingoftenfocusoneitherrationalityoremotion.Riskasvaluemodelproposestocombinerationalityandaffectbutfailstoofferaconcretewayoftheinteraction.Thisstudyaimstodiscusstheriskydecisiondifferenceofdifferentproactivecopingpeople,theindependenteffectsofrationalityandaffect,togetherwiththeinteractionofrationalityandaffect.Moreover,thesituationdifference(gain-loss)hasbeentakenintoaccounttoaccountfortheinteractiondifferencesforproactivecoping.Study1recruited65universitystudentsandmainlyresearchedtheinfluenceofpositiveaffectonproactivecopingandriskydecisionmaking.BARTparadigmisusedtoassessriskydecisionmaking.ItturnsoutthatpositiveaffectisamoderatorbetweenproactivecopingandBARTscores.Thisresultindicatesthatpositiveaffectisnotthedirectfactorresultinginriskychoices.Therefore,inordertodigoutthedirectinfluenceonproactivecopingandriskydecisionmaking,study2aimstoinvestigatethedirectmediatorbetweenproactivecopingandriskydecisionmaking.Study2recruited124universitystudentstoinvestigatetheeffectofopportunitycognitiononproactivecopingandriskydecisiontogetherwiththegain-losssituationaleffects.Usesituationalquestionnairestomeasuretheriskydecisionchoices.Theresultsindicatean“opportunityperspective”ofpeoplewithhighlevelofproactivecopingwhichissituationalconstant.Proactivecopingpeopleseemoreopportunitiesnotonlyundergainsituationbutalsounderlosssituation.Thisresultshelpexplaintheadvantageouseffectofproactivecoping.Study3recruited70universitystudents,afterthedeletionofoutliers,study3Agot66universitystudents.Study3Brecruited58universitystudentsasparticipants.Study3combinestheopportunitycognitionandpositiveaffecttodiscussthe
