The celebration for children in Japan ;In China, people celebrate the children’s day in 1 June, which is the International Children’s Day. But in Japan, they have different day for boys and girls. That is Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day. Today, we will introduce both of these two days to show you how Japanese celebrate their children’s day.;Girls’ Day;Origin : Girls’ Day has a history of over 600 years in Japan . It’s a festival that spread to Japan from China.;The first one is said that in ancient China ,the elder of the family should make a doll after the birth of the little baby . The doll is a sign of the healthy growth of the baby. This custom spread to Japan from China in Safely Dynasty age . At that time , the dolls use bamboo for the skeleton and papers for cloth . And it changed with time passed by ,it has became the Girls’ Day now.;2. However, some people hold the opinion that lunar March 3rd is an unlucky day , and people should wash their feet by the river or well to get rid of inauspicious . It is called xiuxi(修禊).Then it evolved to drinking and poetry by the rivers on sunny day. This custom spread to Japan in the first year of Exoteric Mikado . Then the Japanese changed the glasses into dolls ,and let the cotton drift away after wipe the body . They believe that they can be free from disease after doing like that.;It is so famous!;Boy’s Day; This day Japanese families use paper or cloth to make color bright, and shape like carp of ribbons, and to these ribbons series in bamboo, and Golden windmill tied in together, hanging in roof. The reason to do so, because the Japanese believe most carp spirit and vitality, hope the boys in the family as carp, are brave enough to leap onto the D
