Tell the time Show different time, tell the students how to express different time, then ask them to practise, then sum up . What time is it? It’s four/three/ten o’clock. What time is it? It’s twenty past eight/ten past one/five past ten/a quarter past eleven/a quarter past seven/half past four/half past six. What time is it? It’s five to three/ten to nine/a quarter to one/twenty to eleven/three to twelve/a quarter to two.
