摘 要 摘 要 鹿传霖参与了晚清的教育、实业、对外交涉等方面的活动，是中国近代史上一位重 要的洋务派人士。 本文尝试对鹿传霖一生的主要活动进行系统考察。在内忧外患的历史背景下，鹿传 霖积极作为，力图振兴。在任四川总督时，他选贤任能、引进先进设备和技术，创办了 一些关系国计民生的实业。此间，他还兴办了一些教育事业，尤为突出的是创办四川大 学的前身四川中西学堂。在“新政”期间，他关注并参与了学制改革，对近代教育改革 的进程产生了积极影响。在任户部尚书时，他力主改革国家币制，尤其在议定银元、铜 元问题和创办银行上，其影响力很大。在对外交涉事件中，他始终保持着维权保利的立 场和态度。在近代化过程中，鹿传霖顺应时势的积极作为应予以充分肯定，但受时代和 阶级所限，其忠君卫道的封建保守思想亦十分典型。 关键词 鹿传霖 晚清 实业 兴学 新政 I Abstract Abstract Lu Chuanlin, who was a westernization representative in modern Chinese history, involved in the education, industry, negotiations and other activities of the late Qing dynasty. The paper attempts to make a systematic study on Lu Chuanlins main activities. In a complicated historical background, Lu Chuanlin made some positive activities in the revitalization for the country. When governoring the Sichuan Province, he promoted the virtuous people, introducted the advanced equipment and technology, and established a number of industry for the peoples livelihood. At the same time, he set up some education, especially found the Sichuan Sino-Westen School which was the predecessor of Sichuan University. During the New-Policy period, he concerned and involved the education system reform, that made a significant and postive impact in the process of modern education reform. When he was the Ministry of chancery, he strongly advocated the reform of national currency, particularly he had a important influence on the issues that agree upon silver coin or copper coin and the founder of banks.
