IKK Action ItemsImmunization Registry Workgroup IKK Steering Committee Meeting Topeka, Kansas August 28, 2007 IKK Strategies Addressed Accelerate implementation of the statewide immunization registry. Expand opportunities for children to receive immunizations through a ‘medical home’. Promote policies, regulations and environmental changes that increase access to and utilization of immunization services. Overall Objective Increase the current number of providers that submit immunization events to KSWebIZ by 60% (an additional 77 providers) by the end of 2008. Action Item 1:Develop a long-term KSWebIZ enrollment and management plan Description Continue to develop a comprehensive and detailed KS WebIZ implementation plan and clarifies additional resource needs. Continue to refine KDHE’s Marketing Plan for the Kansas Immunization Registry Rollout–KSWebIZ, focusing recruitment and training efforts on high-priority ‘clusters’ of providers Elaborate short- and long-term resource (both financial and professional) needs and secure sources of support. Action Item 1:Develop a long-term KSWebIZ enrollment and management plan Challenges Limited financial resources available to KDHE High need for additional trainers and other professional skill-sets (e.g., data cleansing capacity, provider education) Action Item 1:Develop a long-term KSWebIZ enrollment and management plan Expected Outcomes Incorporate proposed action items from the IKK Steering Committee into the KSWebIZ implementation plan. Track goals and targets that are laid out by the IKK Steering Committee workgroup action items. Implement a prioritized list along a projected timeline. Develop a process to identify the key characteristics of clinic ‘clusters’. Continue refinement of the KSWebIZ marketing plan to include the prioritized list of ‘clusters’. Identify resource needs for the completion of the proposed action items. IKK Steering Committee partner organizations will continue to provide collaborative
