It is understood some requirements may exceed those of the ACGME or specific specialty committees. All residents who train at Oakwood for more than one year are expected to participate in, complete, and present the results of a scholarly project to successfully complete their graduate program of study. Oakwood Healthcare System will support these efforts with appropriate resources, including guidance from the Research Director or designee and available funds to cover expenses approved by the Research Committee. Residents must meet the expectation for completion of various steps in the project by the end of their respective post-graduate years as specified in the resident research project timeline for that program.
