Pedigrees from Genomes Comparative Genomics of Alternative从基因组的比较基因组学的替代系

The two patterns are obtained from a Turing-like RD model, tuning in different ways the amplitudes of the mixing nonlinearities included in the reaction part. Here I just specified f and g as indicated in the equations, and accordingly to the paper mentioned in the caption of the figure. There is not much to say. There are several control parameters, gamma, a, b, h, and p. It seems that in this case (but one should read well the paper) the relevant one is the p parameter, which allows to tune from stripes to spots. Both patterns are typical Turing patterns, which I believe can be predicted and related to p values by performing a linear stability analysis. If we want to keep in mind the idea about evolutionary related patterns, it seems that we have already some ingredients, in the sense that Turing systems already allow for the existence of different patterns only by changing one or at most a set of parameter(s). Then the question could be rephrased as: Can we describe the effect of evolution merely as a change (possibly stochastic) in that/those parameter(s)? If the answer were “yes”, then this is already appealing, because it means that we already have a sort of unifying model which interpolates among different patterns (I.e. different species), only by changing a parameter, and without touching the dynamics (the functions f and g). * 5 Open Problems in Bioinformatics Pedigrees from Genomes Comparative Genomics of Alternative Splicing Viral Annotation Evolving Turing Patterns Protein Structure Evolution Three Processes Recombination Choosing Parents The Mutational Process Pedigree process Coalescent Rebombination process Seqeunce/Individual Boundary From Yun Song From genomes to pedigrees Probability of Data given a pedigree.
