跳频脉冲信号旁瓣抑制技术分析-analysis of sidelobe suppression technique for frequency hopping pulse signals

哈尔滨工业大学工学硕士学位论文 哈尔滨工业大学工学硕士学位论文 Abstract In this paper, studies are carried out to suppress the sidelobes of both quasi-random/all-random hopped frequency waveforms through both waveform designing and signal processing, focusing on the problem of high range sidelobes in hopped frequency radar application. For optimal sidelobe design of quasi-random hopped frequency waveform, the range ambiguity function is entirely decided by its frequencies combination, and thus it is achievable to optimize the signal frequencies combination for sidelobe suppression. By setting sidelobe discrepancy between the matched filtering output and the ideal expectation as the penalty function, we transform the sidelobe suppression into a minmax optimization. To address the problem, an adaptive gradient search method is proposed, which adjusts the frequencies combinations according to maximum output of the penalty function, and thus reduces the sidelobe level as much as possible with the signal’s autocorrelation output structure controlled. Several key issues for the implementation of the algorithm are discussed with corresponding solutions given. Extensive simulations show that the proposed algorithm gives promising results under both cases with discontinuous/continuous spectra. For optimal sidelobe design of all-random hopped frequency waveform, theoretical analysis shows that low sidelobe can be achieved by controlling the occurrence probability of different frequencies. In this paper, statistical characteristics of the autocorrelation function are analyzed, with the waveform design criterion on different cases given. Specifically, weighted window function and convex optimization are applied under both discontinuous and continuous spectra to design the all-random hopped-frequency waveform with low sidelobe. Simulation results show that by controlling the occurrence probability of different diversity pulses, the range sidelobe can be suppressed effectively. From the point of signal process
