The Untranslatability of English Poetry Abstract Poetrys translatability and untranslatability have always been under heated argument. The author find that poetrys features bear the untranslatability in such aspects as musicality, writing form, style and so on. This paper briefly discusses the problem of untranslatability of English verse, including linguistic and cultural untranslatability. According to Shelley s idea, I discusses the untranslatability of English verse with an example—a poem When We Two Parted by George Gordon Lord Byron. An Example Lets taking G.G. He is regarded as one of the greatest British poets and remains widely read and influential.
