How to mine, sort, inherit and develop Folk song of Northern Shaanxi in the new historical conditions, and make it not only maintain the original characteristics, but also develop healthy and steady, is a pressing problem to be solved. This paper firstly introduces the beginning and development of Folk song of Northern Shaanxi, presents a brief overview on the musical features and functions, hackle the main research results. Secondly, we mainly analyze the main problems during the course of development of Folk song of Northern Shaanxi, including delivering, understanding, innovation, development, and system guarantee. In the end, according to these problems we put forward some suggestions. Pay great attention to implementation of the policies of Pass-on person, Strengthen innovation on the genres and forms of folk song of Northern Shaanxi. On this basis, introduce the folk song into local campus, and blend the culture of folk song of Northern Shaanxi in local red tourism cultural, active local folklore activities, make folk song of Northern Shaanxi be more industrialized and Pluralistic.
