As one of the important measures and methods to ensure the quality of Web application, performance testing based on Web application will draw more and more attention from people .According to the structure feature of Web software and study in Web performance testing, the thesis advance a performance testing method for Web applications-WAPT++. WAPT++ specifies the process management of performance testing based on Web applications. Introducing the common software testing model, it divides the process of Web applications performance testing into three phases: performance testing HYPERLINK dict://headword/analyze analysis phase, performance testing design phase, performance testing execution phase, and specifies the content and method in every testing phase. After analyzing the structure and functions of Web applications, WAPT++ establishes the business model of performance testing. It deduces objectives of Web applications performance testing by the rule of 80-20. Based on objective and model of performance testing, WAPT++ provides the design method of testing environment, testing scenario. By setting up performance testing, testers can create scripts, execute them and monitor usage of system during testing, accomplishing the analysis of performance testing by making use of testing tools which they choose. The risks of Web performance testing, from within project or outside, is grades by crisis and severity. WAPT++ provides the risks management lists by the risk’s grade to manage efficiently them, avoiding the influence from them during Web performance testing.
