Abstra Abstract 万方数据 万方数据 Abstract The book publication in ancient China is the important part in the whole Chinese publishing procedure and the basis of China even world so advanced book publishing business. The developmental level of publishing technology shows obvious provincial characteristics because of difficult traffic, fewer resources development, slow information transmission in the ancient times. We can know more about the whole state of book publication in ancient China by studying the regional ancient book publishing and comparing the different regions. Central plains is the birthplace of Chinese civilization. The earliest oracle literature in China is discovered in Anyang of Henan province and bronze literature is also discovered in Henan province, that is to say the Chinese publishing actions start in central plains. Kaifeng, Luoyang and Shangqiu of Henan province have prosperous economy and cultural prosperity as the capital city in the history of the dynasties. Henan province not only has rich writing, but also obtains very good opportunity to develop publishing business. So not only government’s publication achieves remarkable achievements, but also personal publication creates many miracles. Publication in ancient times in central plains has unique compiler group, publishing agency and technology developing procedure, publishing management system, publishing issuing system and amazing publishing results, so these elements constitute central plains ancient book publishing culture. Book publishing of central plains in the ancient times has many characteristics of big political influence, natural resources disadvantages, leading position for a long time and emphasis on the humanities and despises technical, therefore these characteristics make the book publishing culture play of central plains a decisive role in Chinese ancient publishing culture, world publication culture and central plains culture construction.
