The Ideological and Political education should be based on traditional Chinese nation cultures, and lucubrate the precious spiritual wealth in the cultures to bring up the high quality architects of socialism with moral principles and patriotism. The Analects takes a significant position in the Confucianism and the traditional Chinese nation cultures. The book is considered a record of the words and acts of the Confucius and his disciples, as well as the discussions they held. It is meaningful to analyze the way Confucius taught his students, and we may be illuminated by what he taught, how he taught, and why he taught in our ideological and political education to college students. In part one, the paper explains the meaning and the importance of ‘learn’ in The Analects at first, and then explains what to learn, and ‘learn’ is considered as an activity of self-improving in ethnic. Second, the paper makes a summary of the attitudes to learn and the ways to learn, and indicates two levels of ‘learn’. One of the purposes is to improve oneself in moral principles, and the other is to free the demos from tribulations. In part two, the paper points out the new problems we faced up in college students’ ideological and political educations as the changing of education environments.
