It is far from something carried out by one person, usually a teacher, standing in front of a class and transmitting information to a group of learners who are all willing and able to absorb it. Instead, as Falik (2001) puts it: “our world requires that individuals be adaptive, responsive, and amenable to learning both tasks and processes… The goal of parents and teachers is to find ways to help students develop their learning potential, thereby by facilitating both integration into society and enhancement of further learning propensities (p.36)”.
