Subtitle translation is a new field of translation in China. In subtitle translation, on one hand, we must as try to keep language features of the source language culture and absorb foreign language characteristic; on the other hand, we must abide by the native cultural tradition. This report is divided into four parts. The first part, to introduce the characteristics and the background culture of subtitle, connection between subtitle translation and interpreting, and translation practice research method. The second part, to discusses the influence, characteristics and cultural background of the film inception, problems during subtitle translation. The third part, to analyzes the basic principle in the process of subtitle translation, and all kinds of translation problems encountered in the process of translation, and the process to solve the problem of the translation.
