However, the continuous expansion of urban construction land in recent years has lead to the wetland system suffered severe damage. Many cities, including Harbin, started to planning and constructing urban wetland parks to protect the urban wetland system from erosion. Currently, to support the actual project, there needs to be a systematic theoretical research on the method of the construction of urban wetland park and its various subsystems. Among all the basic elements of the wetland system, the water system is the most important one, not only because its stability determines that of the wetland system, but also the composition of the plant and the limitation or increase of the types of species. Therefore, the research on the methods of water system planning and design in urban wetland parks has a significant value in the maintenance of wetland ecological balance. By doing a large number of literature research and field reconnaissance, aiming at the characteristics of wetlands, this paper analyzed some classic cases of urban wetland park, studied on the basic situation of wetlands and wetland parks and analyzed urban planning level and emphases of urban wetland park planning. Then, based on the construction planning of wetland corridor and the status of wetland park of Harbin, considering ecological protection, development and construction and seasonal characteristics, revealed and analyzed existing problems and influencing factors of the water system of wetland park in Harbin. Found out the key elements of water system planning in urban wetland park of Harbin, considering the water system planning level, regional climate, vegetation and some other features.
