Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100101) Abstract: In order to study the molecular genetic evolution characterization of haemophilus parasuis (Hps) isolated from local aardvark, PCR was used to deterimined OmpP2 gene of Hps Henan isolates XY0501. Then we conducted sequence comparison and genetic evolution analysis. The results showed that the whole size of Omp P2 gene was 1080 bp, coding 359 aa. The nucleotide sequence similarity was 96.7%-99.4% with the reference strain, 96.9%-97.4%96.7%-99.4% and 97.1%-99.1% with serotype 4, 5 and 12, respectively.
