As the pillar of education, Teachers quality directly determines the level of education of any country to successfully cultivate the excellent talents，to improve the teaching and academic ability of teachers. In an era characterized by knowledge-based 21st century, the world is more strongly realizing the important significance of university teachers to cultivate excellent talents, and have undertaken research and practice in this field. Faculty development aims to help new teachers improve their ability as teachers and scholars, and enhances their ability of the teaching quality. Firstly, through the representative and theoretical model in the area of university new teachers, the paper analyzed Australian university new teachers’ historical process, facing the problems and the solving measures. And，the paper also selected the representative of The University of Sydney and The University of New South Wales’ new teachers development project as a case to analysis and thinking.
