During this period, the legal system of China is becoming perfect. As important part of Northern Dynasty, the Northern Zhou Dynasty has formed its unique legal contents. The criminal law system of the Northern Zhou, absorbing the reasonable composition of the law system of the Northern Dynasties, drawing on and developing the legal system of the Southern Dynasties, getting Confucianism to law system, become a new criminal system which has rich content and range but no lack of innovation. The criminal system first grade the Exile, justify the Imprisonment, thus the feudal five Criminal systems have been constructed. In addition,. The dynasty of the Northern Zhou taking the lead in concluding ten Felony System, set a new banner for the sake of feudal monarchy ,catered the demand of times of peace and prosperity to satisfy feudal rulers. The Penal System of the Dynasty of Northern Zhou has a tremendous impact on the development of later legal system and lays the foundation of the all-around development of the civil law of Sui and Tang.
