It is difficult to make profit than before, special for manufacturing enterprises. The enterprises will have to tap the potential to find new profit growth point. Spare parts management being as an important part of equipment management and maintenance management, is being catched more and more attention from corporate. By studying all aspects of the law of spare parts management, rational use of emerging technologies and business models, we can tap out the efficiency at all levels continually, reduce inventory cost, improve economic efficiency on the premise of production can run smoothly. In such a context, it mainly studies spare parts management of its classification, procurement and strategy, and analyzes its practical usage with using the theories and instruments of management and economy, to reduce inventory cost and lever spare parts management. First, the thesis surveys the domestic and foreign related literature of inventory theory and trend of development. After a brief introduction of the basic concepts of spare parts inventory management, the thesis mainly studies classification and inventory management strategy of spare parts.
