Literature research method along with the method of unifying logic and history together is mainly used in this paper. The philosophical foundation, basic ideas, basic characteristics, existing problems and practical significance are the main contents. By means of literature research method, research results of Dewey’s value theory related to Pragmatism and value theory are consulted and collected by various ways. Making full use of different academic information from previous researchers and others and binding the results of studying and reading intensively on the writer’s own, the writer deepens and develops the research on Dewey’s value theory. Through the method of unifying logic and history together, reference meaning are presented from two aspects of theory and reality binding literature research method and standing on Marxism value philosophy. On the basis of reconstructing the traditional concept on experience, he put forward his own empirical methods and applied them to the value field. He thinks value comes from natural facts and empirical facts, so the way of holding value is empirical way. Valuation and desire happen in problematic situations.
