Based on the survey data of 393 households in Xuzhou city, Jiangsu province, eight variables were selected from the three dimensions of social network, social trust and social norms, and the Probit model was established to verify the specific impact of social capital on farmers participation in the mutual funds organization. The results show that: social capital significantly affects farmers willingness to participate in mutual funds organization, among the social capital, social networks, social trust, the education level of the head of household and the degree of mutual understanding have a significant positive impact on farmers willingness, and the effect of household income is not significant, social norms have not passed the significant test.
