and other mass media. The morphological analysis of the neologisms is an important part of the research on the new words. The structure of the Chinese neologisms can be divided into two kinds: derivative structure and compound, the last one includes coordinative, subordinate, verb-object and predicative structures. According to a different word formation, Chinese neologisms can be divided into four kinds: only morpheme structure words, “letter + morpheme” neologisms, “a number + morpheme” neologisms and neologisms, consisting only of letters. According to syllable formation, Chinese neologisms can be divided into monosyllable neologisms, disyllable neologisms and polysyllable neologisms. Because the present society is developing fast, neologisms are also being created quicker, the phenomenon of growing number of neologisms worth special attention. Learning Chinese neologisms can bring apparent advantages for the foreign students, it can help them more deeply understand Chinese modern society, culture, and it can also help them to communicate with Chinese people more efficiently. But learning neologisms, they should also be aware of the malpractices, because some of the neologisms are not standard and its form is not stable. Research on the neologisms of the twenty-first century has an inestimable value: new words not only mirror the image of the society, stimulate the developing of the vocabulary, but can also help foreign students understand society and culture of China. Studying Chinese neologisms can provide a great help for Chinese learners.
