[Abstract] Objective To observe the effect of epidural analgesia application fractures in elderly patients. Methods In our hospital from 2012 January to 2014 January were treated 80 cases of elderly patients with fracture surgery, which is completely random divided into two groups with the control group (40 cases) were given epidural analgesia and intravenous analgesia, comparative analysis of treatment effects between the two groups. Results At different times after serum indicators of pain interdependence observation group were significantly better than the control group of patients, the difference was statistically significant (P0.05). In addition, postoperative pain scores observation group was significantly lower than the control group of patients, the difference was statistically significant (P0.05). Conclusion The effect of epidural analgesia application fractures in elderly patients better, worth in clinical widely used.
