This is the first RD Center within the Company. The setup of this RD center follows newly-proposed company strategy: to build up a capability of research, development and to develop differentiated products and to transform the company into a science-driven company with the advantage in technology. The establishment of Shanghai RD Center is a new attempt for AT Company to build its own RD capability. Not like the RD before in the Company, the company has a higher expectation on the productivity of Shanghai RD Center. Therefore, proper, effective 万方数据 performance management is required to help a sufficient operation of the RD Center. It was found that the original key performance indicator (KPI) is not suitable for the Center and new performance evaluation system is needed.
