赣南师范学院硕士学位论文 赣南师范学院硕士学位论文 PAGE PAGE 4 Abstract Hakka traditional auspicious patterns refer to the auspicious decorations which lie in the hakka traditional architecture, costumes, handicrafts, living utensils after one thousand years’ of vicissitudes. Existing in 18 cities and counties in Ganzhou area, Jiangxi province, Hakka traditional auspicious patterns have a close relationship with the formation of the hakka people and are the encyclopedia of hakka culture. As a kind of material carrier which bears the cultural connotation and aesthetic characteristics of hakka people, Hakka auspicious patterns have various categories, different forms and profound meanings, which worth our while to study, and continuously inherit, use and reform. This thesis mainly explains the relationship between auspicious patterns and the hakka peoples life. Firstly, it makes a general introduction to the historical reasons for the formation of hakka culture system and the relationship between cultural characteristics of hakka nationality and the characteristics of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns. Secondly, it classifies the pattenrns according to the adornment themes and compares Hakka auspicious patterns with the Central Plains’ patterns for the following discussion. Through the explaination of the influence of hakka culture connotation to the traditional auspicious patterns, the thesis moves to the application of traditional auspicious patterns in hakka peoples life and makes a panoramic analysis in the evolution and characteristics of auspicious patterns in architecture, costumes, arts,crafts and living implements; it also makes a shallow analysis into auspicious patterns ’ development, evolution, and application, hoping to reveal the enlightenment of hakka auspicious patterns to the modern art design.
