Abstract
In a board sense, mobile TV refers to televisions broadcasting programs for the mobile audiences. It includes mobile phone IV, mobile TV on cars, mobile TV on building .etc. In recent years, mobile TV on public transit has emerged in some medium or large cites of China as a new mobile media. It is developed based on the digital and mobile technologies, and is limited in communication with the passengers being its main audience.
As an extent of the fixed TV, mobile TV on public transit has the characteristics of the traditional media; as well enjoys some unique features and strong points. Despite the rapid development of the mobile TV on public buses, some shortcomings also come out, such as the bad viewing environment, the poor quality of the programs, the excessive commercial flavor, and the immaturity of the operation mechanism. To further develop such a media form, the government should pay attention to and support it. In addition, the content of the programs needs to be improved and innovated. Localization and the performing of social responsibility are necessary in order to build a big brand.In this paper, the author will adopt the method of example-analyzing and interviewing to expound the communication features of the mobile TV on public transit. At last, the author will try to figure out a healthy and reasonable road of development.
