华中 科技大学 硕士学 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II万方数据 II 万方数据 Abstract With the development of manufacturing technology, there is an increasing demand for near-net shape in the field of plastic forming. Reducing weight, saving materials and improving performance, reducing energy consumption and costs have become major plastic processing subjects, which make some of the key parts to become more integrated, complex and light weighting in automotive, aerospace and other industries. Due to the large surface area of the complex parts with the varied wall thickness, the using of stamping-forming hybrid plastic forming is increasingly important since it can not only forming parts with high precision, excellent mechanical properties, but also can improve utilization and productivity of materials. The clutch hub is a critical metal component on the automobile. It has thinner gear shape in circumferential directions and a middle thickened flange. In this paper, thickened flange of the clutch hub was formed by stamping-forging (flanging-upsetting ) process, factors such as the gap between the punch and die and the size of die radius which affect the accuracy of the flanging and upsetting process were considered. Further studies about the effects of the clearance between the punch and female die and the size of female die radius on hole flange upsetting process was studied, the results show that when the female die radius is 1.2mm and the clearance between female die and punch is 1.6mm, the first time upsetting ratio of flange can reach a maximum value (1.25), and a flange with 1.4 times of the initial thickness can be obtained after finishing and 3 times upsetting, and the strength of the flange becomes larger, the internal stress of the flange turns from tensile residual stress into compression stress.
