AbstractAbstract Abstract Abstract Gaotang Lake is 10cated in the east ofHuai Nan,is a branch ofhuaihe in Huainan, and is natural store Water Lake．And has 4 km2 ponds lake region to the south of sluice． So the community characteristics of zooplankton were studied in order to find particularity ofsubsidence water area to others and provide scientific foundation to their sustainable development． The community zoology ofzooplankton Gaotang Lake Was studied from Apr．2005 to Mar．2006．The species and community diversity of zooplankton as well as relations of community to physico—chemical indices were analyzed，at the same time they were compared with that ofGaotang Lake．The results indicate： 154 species ofzooplankton was recorded(38 protozoan,87 rotifer,17 cladocera and 12 copepods)．90 and 80 species were recorded in summer and autumn，40 in spring and 32 in winter,and species appearing all the year round were 19． Annual fluctuation of abundance and biomass Was close in 3 10cations．Abundance Was 140 to 14280 ind／L and biomass from O．233 to 39．Mg／L．That pelagian quantity and living things amounts years’time change law is：Animal quantity peal￡appears on month in 8，but amounts living things peaks appear on talent in 9 months．On the horizontal distribution，near the gate has a maximum in the avemge quantity per year， sampling points of water outlet and neflr the bank have the fewest；biomass is maxim，a in centre，nearby platform is the fewest；Scatter go ahead in the season，The Oaotang lake’S zooplankton abundance and biomass have great difference in different season． The summer maximum．winter iS minimal；autumn iS maximal，winter iS lowest The Diversity exponent、Degree ofhomogeneity exponent and Species rich degree exponent in Gaotang lake arc very high；The Adva；ntage centrality exponent is lower． Both the zooplankton abundance and biomass are very rich；and Scatter comparatively homogeneously．So，Gaotang lake’S water is still suitable to great majority animals’existing and reflected
