II II Abstract Abstract Leading industries in the industrial structure refers to the main character in a strategic position, and to guide and support the development of other sectors of the industry. The growth of leading industries and other industries those motivated by dominent industries constitute the main melody of the entire economic growth. The level of development of leading industries, and its concomitant technological progress is the fundamental factors to decide the of economy growing quality economic growth quality of a country or a region ,but also the important symbol of industrial structure’s rationalization. Therefore,the development of leading industrie has very important significance and irreplaceable role. Since reform and opening up, Hebei Province has made remarkable achievements in economic development, economic structure has undergone profound changes. However, many problems existing in the current structure has become an important factor constraining the development of Hebei Province. Optimization and upgrading of industrial structure,finding the new economic development impetus is imperative. Therefore, the choice of suitable Hebeis leading industries has a very important practical significance. This article mainly discusses the problem that how to choose the leading industries of Hebei province，and carries on the question of industrial structure adjustment on this basis.This article starts with the theory of leading industries that is the theory basis of the article .Makes the status quo of Hebei province and the progress tendency of leading industries as the realitical basis.By analying the different characteristics of industries and services, Separately introduces quantitative (a factor analysis models) and qualitative methods of research-based, totally selects nine sectors as leading industries of Hebei Province. At the end of this thesis,the article analyses the leading industries of Hebei province and offers the measures. Key words
