IV. Teaching method: PWP teaching method Teaching Plans Pre-reading(1min): 1. Lead-in : present the topic word—rainforest (divide the word into two parts: rain+forest) T: It is raining today and the ground is so wet. Be careful when walking! → And today,we are going to learn a topic related to the word “rain”, it is a kind of forest called rainforest. 2. Look at the pictures and ask: what are rainforests like in your eyes? (Teaching purposes: to arouse students’ reading interest and activate the schema of rainforests already in students’ mind by showing pictures and discussing.) While-reading(8min): 1. Reading-task One: Scan the passage and find the answers to two related questions. T: Now you have 5 minutes to read the passage carefully.
