Based on theoret ical research, pressure drop w as identified to be the determ inant of forced ventilation. The ventilation vo lum e and shear ing streng th of the sludge stack in different ferm entat ion ph ases and fo rced ventilation cond ition s w ere ob- tained through exp ermi ents. The form ing rule o f sludge h ardened w as ana lyzed its influence on ventilation w as ver ified through ca lculation, according to w hich the t mi e point for vent ilat ion mi provem ent w as proposed. The in- flu ence of the pow er ch anges of air-blow er b ased on its frequ ency conversion contro l on forced ventilation w as stud ied. T he proposed ventilation so lut ion adopted the frequ ency conversion in d ifferent ferm entation phases, w hich cou ld effective ly contro l the sludge tem p erature and vent ilat ion vo lum e.
