abstract;tied / fixed:
its meanings or associational values being the same or nearly the same for all readers, generally no ambiguity or misunderstandings;
free:
capable of having different meanings or associational values (unsteady, uncertain) for different people

involving no necessary change or extension in the obvious meaning of the words;
figurative:
